Multi-coupling Integrated Connector
The multi-coupling system integrates the cooling-water, process-gas, power, and communication connections on the cathode lid into a single quick-connect interface. As the cathode lid moves into place, the multi-coupling connects all required services in one step, simplifying maintenance in several ways:
- No Manual Connection: Cooling water, process gas, power, and communication lines connect simultaneously, eliminating the need for manual, line-by-line reconnection.
- Fewer Connection Errors: Positioning pins guide the coupling into place and reduce the risk of missed or incorrect connections.
- Shorter Maintenance Time: Paired with the drop-in module, the multi-coupling speeds up cathode removal and reinstallation with less manual work.
FAQ
- How long does a complete automatic connection or disconnection take?
The connection or disconnection is completed as the cathode lid is lowered or lifted, so no additional operation time is required. - How does the multi-coupling stay correctly aligned during connection?
The multi-coupling has alignment pins which enable the connector to be positioned accurately when the cathode lid is lowered into place.
